The odour and uses of Isobutavan 10% in TEC :

Odour=>sweet vanilla, faint milk, creamy fruity, caramel, icing or ice cream, chocolate: Heavy, sweet, vanilla, nutmeg, Sweet, Fruity, vanillic, hint of sour milk.

Synaesthesia=> pie, whipped cream, baby bottle

Perfume-Uses=>Isobutavan is much less discolourising than vanillin or ethyl vanillin and can be used at levels up to 2pc in for example white soap fragrances before discolouration is a problem. It is less powdery than vanillin and has a creamier thickening effect. Can be used in fragrances, especially in white soap applications where discoloration might occur
