Sodium Sulphate

Sodium Sulphate is used in perfumery as a drying agent. If an essential oil or perfume compound is cloudy then try a pinch of Sodium Sulphate to see if it clears. If it does your problem was water contamination probably from condensation of water from the air during storage in a cool place.
Just a little though. If you add too much and there is a lot of water present then the Sodium Sulphate can turn the whole perfume compound into a gel like sludge. Then its throw the material away or distillation in a rotary evaporator under vacuum.
So the Sodium Sulphate method is not suitable for a finished perfume or cologne.
