The odour and uses of Bonding Factor
Using Oxytocin 0.01%.
We recommended to using Oxytocin 0.01% in fragrance compounds at a maximum of 0.1 to 1% (w/w) 1 to 10 grams per Kg or Litre of perfume compound. This will ensure that the active Oxytocin content does not exceed 1 ppm 1 part-per-million which has been found to be the upper limit at which the pheromones are esthetically acceptable.
Caution - NOT FOR USE DURING PREGNANCY OR FIRST FEW WEEKS OF LACTATION - At the levels used in perfume it should not pose any problem for use. However, in excess it could cause contraction of the uterus in order to start labor or increase the speed of labor or stop bleeding following delivery.
The materials used are high purity reconstructions using synthetic sources and no human or animal extracts were used in their production.
Oxytocin has actions on the body and brain. Studies have looked at oxytocin's role in various behaviors, including orgasm, social recognition, pair bonding, anxiety, and maternal behaviors. Oxytocin evokes feelings of contentment, reductions in anxiety, and feelings of calmness and security when in the company of the mate. This suggests oxytocin may be important for the inhibition of the brain regions associated with behavioral control, fear, and anxiety, thus allowing orgasm to occur. Trust, empathy, generosity have been shown to be increased by oxytocin. Oxytocin produces antidepressant-like effects in animals.

Important Notes:
End application data applies to experiments carried out by the authors or extrapolated from those experiments using computer algorithms. As application product formulations vary widely this information is only a general guide.
Full testing by both perfumers- flavorists and end users is the only proven method to ensuring a perfume or flavours safety- strength- suitability- stability and success.
Legislation and regulations vary widely and change with time so it is your duty to check this.
