Using Oxytocin 0.01%. We recommended to using Oxytocin 0.01% in fragrance compounds at a maximum of 0.1 to 1% (w/w) 1 to 10 grams per Kg or Litre of perfume compound. This will ensure that the active Oxytocin content does not exceed 1 ppm 1 part-per-million which has been found to be the upper limit at which the pheromones are esthetically acceptable. Caution - NOT FOR USE DURING PREGNANCY OR FIRST FEW WEEKS OF LACTATION - At the levels used in perfume it should not pose any problem for use. However, in excess it could cause contraction of the uterus in order to start labor or increase the speed of labor or stop bleeding following delivery.
