Soluble in water yet high solubility with fragrance compounds too.
Unique volatility properties making it suitable for air freshener applications with up to about 30% in the finished product with other solvents, alcohol, glycols etc.
Helps adjust and stabilize the perfume evaporation rate and minimize changes during evaporation. In surfactant water-based products helps reduce the amount of solubiliser required.

Mixed with water over 20%, there is no flash point
